These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DocGress Chrome extension ("the Extension", "Service"). By installing or using DocGress you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension.
DocGress is a Chrome browser extension that integrates with Google Docs to display writing goal progress. It is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or change pricing with reasonable notice.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use DocGress. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

DocGress requires access to Google Docs and, optionally, your Google account. Your use of Google services is subject to Google's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. DocGress is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC.
The DocGress extension, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by the DocGress team and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy of word count or other statistics.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DocGress and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed $10 USD.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DocGress and its team from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to discontinue the Service or revoke your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the extension ceases immediately.
We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted here with a revised date. Your continued use of the extension after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the DocGress team is based, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
